Espina de Ferro 1348 is a powerful, characterful Catalan Russian Imperial Stout brewed with base malt and up to six types of specialty malts—including Munich, Barley, Chocolate Malt, Cara‑Pils, T‑50 and DRC—together with Chinook and Cascade hops. Dark in appearance with a dense cinnamon-colored head, it offers a perfect balance of malty sweetness and roasted bitterness (50 IBU), with an aromatic intensity combining espresso, dark cacao and light liqueur notes. On the palate it shows a robust body, creamy texture and a long finish revealing dried fruit nuances and smoky touches.
Best enjoyed slowly at 10–14 °C, on its own or paired with dark chocolate desserts or blue cheeses, revealing the full depth and sophistication of an authentic Catalan Imperial Stout.
