Chimay Dorée, also known as Chimay Gold, is a Belgian Trappist beer that for a long time was reserved exclusively for the monks and their guests at Scourmont Abbey. Top-fermented with a secondary bottle fermentation, it displays a bright, slightly hazy golden color. Its aromas combine yeast, soft malt and subtle spicy notes of coriander and bitter orange peel. On the palate it offers a balanced flavor with fruity nuances reminiscent of tangerine, complemented by a fresh, dry and delicate finish that invites another sip.
