Chimay Roja, also known as "Première", is a Belgian Trappist beer brewed since 1862. Top-fermented and bottle-conditioned, it displays a deep dark reddish color and a creamy, persistent head. Its aromas combine malty and fruity notes reminiscent of plums and dark fruits. On the palate it offers an enveloping smoothness with a malty profile intertwined with fresh fruitiness, culminating in a long, delicious finish.
